(New York, NY) – May 22, 2008 – Axiom Records group Ashmont Hill is excited to
announce their current venture in signing with World Vision. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated
to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of
poverty and injustice. With years of experience in the mission field members Phil, Wil, Deborah and April take this on with a
dedicated heart to help those in need.
The option of signing with World Vision came to fruition for the group during their recent tour opening for Natalie Grant. Phil, who is married to a woman from Honduras, had the opportunity to share a moving story during the tour with some of those from World Vision. He stated that once when he and his wife were going to take a trip to Honduras to visit her family she insisted that they pack all of their old shoes into two bags to take with them. He of course was not happy about this because he had to carry them and they were very heavy! Although he grumbled the whole way his entire demeanor changed when he got to Honduras and they had the chance to pass out the shoes to adults and children that had none. To this day he is reminded that even if it takes some extra effort to do something it can make the world of difference in someone else’s life.
All of these beliefs come through their voices on their current self-titled album and World Vision noticed this.
Dawn Williams, Artist Representative/Artist Associate Program for World Vision says, “Ashmont Hill is a group with powerful voices and extremely passionate hearts. I am really impressed with their sincerity and desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to children and families around the world.”
